Mia Bergeron is a figurative painter originally from New York City, but now resides in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Bergeron studied at the Rhode Island School of Design, but left to pursue a more traditional education at the Charles H. Cecil Studio in Florence, Italy.
Bergeron is interested in combining her training as an academic portrait artist with her roots of living in New York in the 80’s and being around Expressionism. In 2010 she was named “”The Top 21 artists under 31 to Collect Now”” by SouthWest Art Magazine. In 2014 she was named “”10 of the Best Contemporary Portrait Artists”” by One Fine Bid. Her work has been featured in international publications, museums, and private collections. She is represented by Robert Lange Studios in Charleston SC, Gallery 1261 in Denver CO, and by the art consultant Vanessa Rothe in Laguna Beach CA.
