Lives in Chattanooga
Born in Winterpark Florida, Matthew Dutton now resides and works in Chattanooga, Tennessee since 1997. Graduating from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a BFA in Sculpture, Dutton is a multidisciplinary artist whose works employ a hybrid of visual symbols and found objects to create a feral aesthetic through economy of intervention. Ranging from whimsy to horror, his work runs a wide gambit of techniques, materials, and methods. When not consolidating the paradox of simultaneous attraction and repulsion, Dutton enjoys spending time with his family, chocolate chip pancakes, and outdoor jogs in the fall.
